Illusion Projects has worked with creative director and magic designer Douglas Leferovich on many varied projects over the past few years. When Strip magazine decided to run an article on Doug, he called to see if they could shoot at the shop. The Illusion Projects shop has been used for a couple of photoshoots in the past and it is always a fun time. The team gathered some props and other interesting looking items to create a backdrop for a Wizard of OZ themed photoshoot. Performer Lisa Marie Smith played the part of Dorothy inside the Illusion Projects steampunk crystal casket.
They even found an old fog machine, which was on the spare parts shelf, for some atmosphere. Magician Mark Bennick was on hand to help and somehow got that fog machine working (They still don’t know how he did it).
The photoshoot went well and the article was great; all about Doug and the work he does. You can learn more about Doug here.
