Some guys get excited about buying a new car. Not the guys at Illusion Projects. They get excited about forklifts- they probably need to get out more!
The previous shop had not had the floor space to keep a forklift so they had borrowed the neighbor’s or rented one when needed. The team had devised clever ways of getting giant road cases on and off semi-trucks without a forklift. The truck drivers thought they were crazy.
The move to the new workshop meant space to have a permanent forklift. Tim’s experience with forklifts had been mixed – most shops have a beaten up old one and you have to pump the gas three times, kick the battery and say a prayer to get it started. Oh, and don’t leave it anywhere nice overnight as it’ll leak oil on the floor by morning.
So Tim decided that the team deserved a nice one. Illusion Projects purchased a lovely Mitsubishi forklift with all the bells and whistles. It even has a cup holder, which makes Jay (the resident coffee addict) very happy. Plus, it doesn’t leak oil and starts up every time!
